Research Scientist
|
Are you a brain who loves thinking about brains? Brainiac TV is looking for a Research Scientist with a background in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field to aid the development, enhancement and testing of learning programs. Additional responsibilities will include the development and elaboration of research protocols in collaboration with university researchers testing Brainiac TV, and communicating with the media and thought leaders about the science behind Brainiac TV. The Research Scientist will work closely with game designers and developers.

Location: USA - New York City
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and refine novel cognitive training interventions.
- Program prototype training programs in Flash, HTML5 or similar multimedia development environment.
- Analyze database of registered users to further the field’s understanding of the structure of cognition and optimal forms of cognitive training.
- Develop clinical trial protocols to be tested in-house and with university collaborators.
- Communicate evidence and science behind Brainiac TV cognitive training on the website through blog posts, web content, etc.
- Discuss the science of Brainiac TV with the media and other thought leaders in the space.
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field.
- Experience in conducting research related to neuroscience/psychology.
- Excellent data analysis skills including General Linear Modeling, variable reduction (e.g., Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, PCA, etc.) and/or Bayesian techniques.
